Salford born Matty joins from Chester, whom he joined in the transfer window in 2014 from Hyde. Matty started out with Preston North End academy, before joining Stockport County in 2008. He went on to make thirty two appearances, and scoring a goal, before singing for Hull City in 2012, and immediately loaned back to County. After fifteen appearances bringing his County total up to forty-seven. In 2012, he returned to Stockport permanently, and brought his total with County up to 79 (and scored another goal). In 2013 he joined Hyde for their Conference stint.
