Player Profile - Nick Buxton (17th May 2005 - 1st Mar 2007)
Doncaster born Nick played professionally for his home town team. He continued in the league, moving to Halifax Town, via a brief stint at Eastwood Town, but only made one appearance for the Shaymen (a 2-1 win over Southport in 1996), and chose to move onto Bury. First team football was proving hard to get, and Nick chose to drop into non-league and keep goal for Scarborough. After a successful season, he joined Spennymoor United, but did not stay long before moving onto a succession of North East counties teams: Eastwood Town, Goole Town, Hatfield Main, Armthorpe Main, and finally ending up at Glapwell in 2003. 2004 saw him move back up the pyramid to join Harrogate Town, from where Celtic have signed him. After a change of career, Nick could not guarantee his availability and has chosen to step away from football.
