Experienced left-back, Mark started out as a trainee with Rotherham, joining Worksop Town briefly, before moving into League football with Darlington in 1995, where he made over 150 first team appearances in his four years there. In 1999, Mark joined Doncaster Rovers for a season and then Northwich Victoria for two seasons, where he is personally credited with keeping them in the Conference. There followed an unsettled period as he joined Worksop Town in 2002, and then Tamworth in 2003. Shortly, he joined Northwich again, before appearing once for Belper Town on route to Harrogate Town.Midway through the 2005-06 season, Mark converted to centreback for Celtic, and made a wonderful contribution. At the end of that season, he elected to join Alfreton Town.
