We're delighted to confirm the signing of attacking midfielder Jack Banister who joins Celtic from Mossley.

The 28-year-old has made over 100 appearances for Mossley over the last three years, with 41 coming last season as he netted eight goals for the Lilywhites.

After making the short move across to Bower Fold, Jack said: “I'm really excited to join a club like Stalybridge Celtic. After speaking to James Kinsey, this is something I want to be a part of. All things are heading in the right direction.

“I'm looking forward to meeting all the lads and making sure next season we are right up where we need to be.”

Manager James Kinsey added: “Jack is a player we have tried to sign previously. He is direct and loves to get at his man which will get fans off their seat. He has played a number of games at this level and also higher so we are really happy to have someone with his experience join us.”

Jack has also featured for the likes of FC United of Manchester, Curzon Ashton and Warrington Town and before Mossley, was a key player at Widnes.

Welcome to Celtic, Jack!

Jack is available to sponsor for the 2024-25 season. To enquire, please contact Steve Dewsnip at commercial@stalycelticfc.co.uk.
