Celtic Lose PSF At Home To Curzon Ashton
By Deborah Taylor

Although Mark Lees had Celtic's best chance in the first half with a thirty-five yard scorcher that flew just wide, the chances in the first half were limited for both sides, with the visitors breaking the deadlock from a wicked free kick. Liam Davis Fired accurately from just outside the box, the ball flying over Aidan Winterbottom's outstretched fingers.

The second half saw more chances, though the opening goal five minutes in was more miscommunication from the Celtic back line than intentional, as Laim Davis fired in a speculative cross from the wing thatwas left by everybody only to settle in the back of the net. Winterbottom made sure a minute later, smothering one of the Curzon Trialist's efforts as he tried to turn in a low cross from Jack Bannister.

Celtic pulled one back from a powerful free kick from new signing Declan Walker, in a similar position to Curzon's opener. The rocket of a free kick deflecting slightly but was never missing.

Kallum Mantack tried to restore the two-goal cushion with a close range header that Winterbottom saved well, pushing it past the post, only for Jack Banister to finally restore it turnng in a low cross from close range with the final kick of the match.
