Player Profile - Phil Power (1st Jul 1992 - 1st Oct 1993)
Phil started with Northwich Victoria in 1983, making 29 appearances and scoring 3 goals and played in the FA Trophy final (Vics won), before joining first Witton Albion and then Crewe Alexandra where he made 27 appearances and scored 3 goals. A brief stint at Horwich RMI and then Sliema Wanderers in Malta before joining Chorley in 1988, where he stayed for two seasons scoring 27 goals in 55 appearances and becoming something of a cult hero. He had a season at Barrow with 18 appearances and a single goal before he joined Celtic. After Celtic he joined Macclesfield Town where he is still talked about with reverence from the fans especially as it was his goal that secured promotion to the league, making 161 appearances for the Silkmen and scoring 58 goals. in 1998 he joined Altrincham for two seasons making 68 appearances and scoring 12 goals. In 2000 he joined Radcliffe Borough, then Bacup Borough and finished his career in 2006 with FC United. He is the current manager of Salford City.
