Sefton signs from Colne (five appearances and a goal), whom he joined in December 2016 from Chorley, which is his home town club. He had two stints with Clitheroe separated by a spell at Stockport County in 2015 and a loan of a month at Salford. Before Clitheroe, where he was a popular figure, he played with Kendal Town in 2014 and Droylsden in 2013. After a great display against Stockport, Sefton was approached and elected to rejoin them.
