An opportunity has arisen for a First Team Physio to join the medical department at Stalybridge Celtic.

The exciting role is ideal for both newly qualified physiotherapists or experienced physiotherapists alike, who are looking for a hands-on position within semi-professional football.

We are looking for someone to work with our current Head Physio who has undergone surgery.

Position: First Team Physiotherapist 

Hours: Part-time - Tuesday/Thursday evenings and Saturday day time

Responsible to: Head Physio/ First Team Manager 

Salary: Expenses negotiable 

Location: Bower Fold, Mottram Road, Stalybridge & St Damians RC Science College, Ashton-under-Lyne. 

Travel will be necessary for this role to fulfil the job requirements.

Responsibilities: 

- To maintain high & professional standards at all times 

- To create successful and professional relationships with players and staff 

- To help monitor player fitness 

- To help provide pitch side cover at all Stalybridge Celtic games and training sessions 

- To provide ‘on field’ first aid to injured players sand aid in their removal from the field of play if required, to an appropriate facility 

- To help provide medical assessment of players as required 

- To help educate players on responsible management of injuries and injury prevention strategies 

- Work alongside other positions within the club

Specification: 

- Relevant physio/sports therapy/ sports rehabilitation qualification (Essential)

- First aid qualification (Essential)

- Experience of working within a sporting environment (Desirable)

- A full driving licence (Essential)

- A flexible approach (Essential)
