Stalybridge Celtic is excited to confirm the arrivals of Matty Carson and Dylan Moonan from Sky Bet League one side Accrington Stanley on one month youth loans.

The Accrington duo join Celtic and boost Celtic’s squad ahead of a busy run of fixtures.

Matty, who turns 20 on Monday is a left-back who most recently spent time on loan at Vanarama National League North Telford United.

He was with Liverpool for eight years before moving Burnley at 14 and whilst with The Clarets, had loan spells with Nelson and Padiham.

He then Accrington in 2021 and last season departed on loan to play for Danske Bank Premiership side Carrick Rangers in Northern Ireland.

This season, he has made four appearances for Telford.

Dylan, a 20-year-old central midfielder has followed a similar journey to Matty so far having also come through the ranks at Burnley before joining Accrington at the same time as his teammate in 2021.

Hailing from Wigan, he’s known to be a box-to-box midfielder and spent 11 years with Burnley before earning a professional contract at Accrington with Matty.

The pair now link up with Chris Willcock’s side for today’s fixture away at Ashton United.
