Head up Mottram Road towards Mottram.
Join Mottram Road towards Hollingworth.
At the traffic lights with the A57 Woolly Lane towards Glossop, continue straight ahead towards Hollingworth and Tintwistle.
After the lights the road becomes the A628.
Stay on the A628 and it will become the Woodhead pass.
After about 14 miles, you will reach the Flouch roundabout.
Turn right (exit 3 of 4) to join the A616 (signposted M1).
After 9 miles you will reach another roundabout, go straight across (exit 3 of 5) to stay on the A616.
After 1 1/2 miles you will reach the M1.
Join the M1 going north toward Leeds.
Stay on the M1 for 4 and a half miles, to junction 39 (Denby Dale A636).
At the roundabout at the end of the lip road, turn right (exit 3 of 4) to join the A636 (Denby Dale road) towards Wakefield.
After a mile, you will reach a roundabout - go straight across (exit 1 of 3) to stay on the A636 towards the city centre.
You will see the Campanile Hotel on your left.
You will go under a railway bridge (bear to the right).
Wakefield Park will be on your left hand side.
A mile after the roundabout, there is a mini-roundabout - go straight across, about 400 yards down the road, you will see yet another roundabout, with some arches, again go straight across (exit 2 of 4) under the arches to stay on the A636.
Almost immediately, there is a roundabout with Ings Road (A638).
Turn right (exit 3 of 4) onto Ings Road.
Sainsbury's and Homebase will be on your right.
After 500 yards, the road will bear around to the left, and then come to a t-junction with the A61 (Kirkgate).
Follow the signs for the A638 (Doncaster Road) to turn Right here, onto Kirkgate.
After 300 yards, the road forks, bear left onto the A638 (Doncaster Road).
The ground is half a mile down Doncaster Road on the right.
Just beyond is a Superbowl 2000.
Parking around the ground is difficult, there are spaces in the Superbowl 2000 car park but this gets full quickly.
Parking on the streets is restricted you will see traffic cones in the restricted areas.
There are quite a few car parks in Wakefield but you face a 15 minute walk to the ground after parking up although several buses (listed below) go past the ground.
