Replay required after goalless draw
By Deborah Taylor
Out of the two teams, Lancaster got into the positions to take the game at the first attempt, but Celtic live to fight another day with a replay at the Giant Axe.

Dale Whitham brought a decent stop out of Greg Hall, whilst Jamie Mellen nodded a corner over the bar but really should have scored, with the goal gaping, Hall stuck in a crowd of players. Hall again got called into action when Dominic Lawson came in from an angle and lifted his shot over Hall, who athletically tipped the ball over his bar. Celtic did get chances, when Ethan Padden fired wide at the start of the half and forcing Curtis Anderson into action at the end, with a header off a free kick, looping over the defence.

If chances came at a premium in the first half, a positive dearth of chances fell in the second. Godwin Abadaki lifted his effort over the bar, with half an hour elapsing between that chance and the next that fell to Kyle Harrison throwing himself onto Theo Bailey-Jones’s whipped in cross, but sending the ball wide.

So it’s off to Lancaster on Tuesday.
