On Saturday, Celtic embark on this season’s FA Cup journey when we face Colne at Bower Fold. Tickets are available online or on the gate.
In the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup, Colne drew 2-2 away at Trafford, taking them back to Colne for the replay, which they won 2-1.
It’s not the first time this season Colne have drawn at Trafford, opening the season there at the start of August with a 1-1 draw.
They followed this up with a home 1-0 defeat at the hands of Mossley.
Up until bank holiday Monday, Colne had yet to win away, but in their most recent match, they beat Kendal Town 2-0, leaving them 12th in the Northern Premier First Division West.
Their top scorer this season is Reece Webb-Foster who has scored seven of their eight goals, Tyler Forbes getting the other. Webb-Foster scored all four goals in the previous round of the FA Cup.
Last season, after playing nine games, Colne finished top with twenty-two points having won seven, drawn one and lost one. They scored twenty goals in the process.
This was a big improvement on the curtailed 19/20 season, when Colne finished fifteenth after playing the least number of games that season on twenty-five. In that season they also won seven games, drawing and losing nine. Based on a points-per-game they would have finished thirteenth.

2. Tyler Forbes
3. Harry Winstanley
4. Oli Roberts
5. Tom Dean
6. Aaron Turner
7. Anthony Williams
8. Alex Dodd
