Match Preview :- West Didsbury and Chorlton AFC - Tuesday September 3rd, 2019 (19:00:00)

On Tuesday night, Celtic travel across Manchester to face West Didsbury and Chorlton in the FA Cup replay after the North West Counties side held Celtic to a goalless draw at Bower Fold. Kick off for the match is 7:30PM.

West have continued their good form, with another win since Celtic faced them, beating Barnton 1-0 away, James Cottee scoring the only goal in the game. This continues West's unbeaten start to the season. They are now up to third in the First Division South of the Northwest Counties, having played a game less that Oswestry and Vauxhall Motors, who are both two points ahead of them in the table. The only time they have not won at home this season, was a 1-1 draw with Wythenshaw.

Previously in the FA Cup they have also beaten Squires Gate away from home. Their hard-earned replay came at a cost, as Kris Holt who started against Celtic, was missing against Barnton through injury and they also lost Jamie Forbes in the Barnton match, with a possible hamstring injury.

In their last match, the 1-0 away win over Barnton, West lined up as:
1. Andrew Jones
2. Matthew Cook
3. Zac Cooper
4. Josh Tinker
5. Jamie Forbes
6. Chris Middleton
7. Lee Grimshaw
8. Callum Jones
9. James Cottee
10. Matthew Boland
11. Ben Woods

Celtic have been unchanged so far this season. We have played twice since facing West, beating Ashton United 2-0 and being held to a goalless draw away at Buxton. In both matches, Celtic lined up as:
1. Alex Fojtíček
2. Declan Walker
3. Kallum Mantack
4. Anthony Whitehead
5. Mark Lees
6. Stephen O'Halloran
7. Scott Bakkor
8. Ross Dent
9. Craig Hobson
10. Nathan Valentine
11. Neil Kengni

Craig Hobson's ban from his sending off at Buxton does not come into effect until Saturday, meaning he is still able to play in the replay on Tuesday. However, this will necessitate Celtic's first starting line-up change this season when we face Basford away. Greg Wilkinson also returned on Saturday against Buxton, coming on as a second half substitute and coming through okay.

West Didsbury's ground is quite difficult to locate and there is no room for parking at the ground. We have also been advised that there may be a large home contingent, with a crowd of 500 expected. Heading for the postcode of Brookburn Primary school (M21 8EH) will get you to the entrance to the road for West's ground on Brookburn Road. Alternatively, the Metrolink stops at Barlow Moor Road and Chorlton are not far away.
