Match Preview :- Warrington Town - Tuesday February 13th, 2018 (19:45:00)

On Tuesday night, Celtic travel to Warrington for the league clash – weather permitting! Warrington are currently fourth in the league on fifty-four points, nineteen places and twenty-six points above Celtic, though they have played one more game. There will be a match centre, Twitter feed and MIXLR broadcast for this game.

Warrington have been in the top five for just about the entire season, dropping out once when Stourbridge beat them at home 5-1 back in September. They have won the vast majority of their games this season, both home and away, with just three losses and two draws in their thirteen home matches. Warrington have not lost since the start of December, when Coalville Town beat them 3-1, in Warrington, playing six games since, drawing two and winning four. Their last two home matches were both clean sheets, though one was a goalless draw with Marine.

Sean Williams and Tony Gray are vying for the top spot on their goal-scorers chart. Gray has nine and Williams eight, though they have twenty different scorers wading in with the goals, but it's not the goals that have got them to the top (though they've helped); it's the defence. Warrington have scored forty-seven goals this season at a rate of 1.7 per game (1.6 at home), which is one of the lowest in the top fifteen teams in the league. Defensively, they have conceded thirty-two goals at a rate of 1.1 goals per game, with only the top two scoring fewer. They have kept ten clean sheets (six at home), and failed to score in five (three at home).

Warrington are one of the teams we've yet to meet this season, but we have met in the FA Cup three times at their place and the Cheshire Senior Cup once at Bower Fold. We have won all four matches. Out last meeting was in 2010 in the FA Cup at Cantilever Park, when Celtic were 3-1 winners with a brace from Phil Marsh and another from Craig Hobson seeing Celtic through to the fourth qualifying round.

In Warrington Town's last match, the 2-0 away win over Sutton Coldfield Town, they lined up as:
1. Tony McMillan
2. Paul Carden
3. Rory McKeown
4. Bradley Barnes
5. Jack Higgins
6. Liam Goulding
7. Gerard Kinsella
8. Sean Williams
9. Joeseph Piggott
10. Tony Gray
11. Green

In Celtic's last match, the 2-0 win over Stafford, Celtic lined up as:
1. Jack Walton
2. Oliver Crowley
3. Alex Honeyball
4. Tom Brown
5. Luke Ashworth
6. Danny Morton
7. Theo Bailey-Jones
8. Oli Roberts
9. Liam Dickinson
10. Matty Wolfenden
11. Connor Hughes

Celtic are still looking for an away league win, but with two wins and two draws in our last five games, confidence is good, though Warrington will be out to end Celtic's hundred percent record over them. A win could lift us two place, whilst a loss could see us go bottom.
