Match Preview :- Chorley - Monday August 31st, 2015 (15:00:00)

Today's visitors are Chorley for the National League clash. Kick off 3pm. Chorley haven't had the start they had last season, with two wins out of their opening six games, and three losses. This has left them fifteenth on seven points, level on points behind Celtic, but three places down on goal difference.

Last season, Chorley had lost only once in their opening six games, away at eventual champions, Barrow. They won seven of their opening matches twelve, and drew three. This propelled them into the top spots (even topping the table for a week) where they stayed for most of the season, except for a wobble in February. Their top scorer last season was former Celt, James Dean who bagged twenty. Josh Hine with twelve was nowhere near taking the Golden Boot off Dean. They were better at home than away, losing only twice at home, but nine times away, conceding nineteen goals all season at home, but thirty-six away.

We played Chorley four times last season, twice in the league, and twice in the FA Trophy having held them to a 2-2 draw at their place. They beat us twice at Bower Fold, 1-0 in the league, and 2-1 in the Trophy, and beat us 2-0 at their place. Apart from a 4-2 win in Chorley in the Unibond Cup back in 2001, the last time Celtic beat Chorley was in October 1991, when we won 3-2 in Chorley, whilst the last time we beat them at Bower Fold was January 1991, when we won 2-1. In six visits by Chorley, they have won two, drawn three and lost only once.

This season, Chorley have beaten Worcetsre City away 3-2 and FC United of Manchester 3-0 at home. They have also lost early season 4-0 away at North Ferriby and drawn 2-2 at Corby. Their other match was a 3-2 home defeat to Nuneaton. Chorley lost their last match, 1-0 at home to Harrogate. In that match, they lined up as:
1. Sam Ashton
2. Mark Ross
3. Paul Jarvis
4. Chris Doyle
5. Keiran Charnock
6. Jake Cottrell
7. Josh Hine
8. Dale Whitham
9. James Dean
10. Andy Bond
11. Darren Stephenson

Celtic's last match was the wonderful 3-0 away win over Stockport County. In that match, we lined up as:
1. Tony McMillan
2. Peter Wylle
3. Aidan Chippendale
4. Matty Hughes
5. Jack Higgins
6. Aarron Chalmers
7. Bohan Dixon
8. Adam Farrell
9. Chris Simm
10. Alex Johnson
11. Danny Wisdom

A win for Celtic could move us into the top half of the table, whilst a loss would see at the very least Chorley leapfrog us. Other matches today are:
