Match Preview :- Leamington FC - Saturday October 19th, 2013 (15:00:00)

On Saturday, Celtic face yet another long trip south when we travel to Leamington for the Skrill North clash (Kick off 3pm). Leamington are currently eighteenth in the table with eight points, six places and five points behind Celtic. There should be a match centre for this game.

Leamington have won twice so far this season, once at home on the opening day of the season when they beat Bradford Park Avenue 2-0, and once in their most recent game beating Workington away 2-1. The Bradford game is the only time that they have kept a clean sheet this season. Out of the last ten games, they have failed to score in five of them. Apart from the 3-2 loss away at Hednesford, when they have managed to score, the have taken points from the game, drawing 1-1 away at Stockport, and at Colwyn Bay with the same score-line.

With only two of their eight goals scored in the second half, and only three of their twelve goals conceded in the first half, Leamington are definitely a first half team; Celtic are definitely a second half team, so it could well be a game of two halves. Leamington's top scorer this season has been Lee Moore, who has scored three, with Ricky Johnson right behind him on two.

Leamington do not currently have any suspensions, but have a few players missing through injury, with their bench against Workington made up of the walking wounded. However, they have recently signed Luke Connolly from neighbours Solihull Moors. On Saturday, in their 2-1 away win over Workington, Leamington lined up as:
1. Tony Breeden
2. James Fry
3. Stephan Morley
4. Joe Magunda
5. Liam Daly
6. James Mace
7. Matt Dodd
8. Jake Heath
9. Ricky Johnson
10. Lee Moore
11. Lee Chilton

Celtic had no game last weekend, due to Vauxhall's continued involvement in the FA Cup, so our last game was away at Oxford, a game that Celtic lost 2-1. Hopefully the week's break as allowed Celtic injury list to be patched up and ready to play, with Matty Urwin, Obi Anorou, Tom Buckley and Lewis Hatch all missing from the Oxford match, and last season's two minute goalkeeper, Andy Ralph taking a spot between the sticks. Celtic have no suspensions, and Academy Manager, Colin Chambers will be taking the dugout position as Celtic face their first match without Jim Harvey. In the Oxford match, Celtic lined up as:
1. Andy Ralph
2. Kelvin Bleau
3. Andy McWilliams
4. Callum Warburton
5. Mark Lees
6. Kristian Platt
7. Prince Haywood
8. Greg Wilkinson
9. Joel Bembo-Leta
10. Sean McConville
11. Adam Pepper

There is a full program this Saturday. There is not much upward movement for Celtic if we win, unless it's by a couple of goals, and Bradford or Histon lose by a similar margin. Downward, if we lose, it could be possible to drop to close to the drop zone, so a win is a must for the Celts this Saturday.
