Martin played for Accrington Stanley until 1990 when he moved to Mossley, making 45 appearances for our neighbours before moving to Ashton United in 1992. Celtic signed him from Ashton, before he moved onto Curzon Ashton, Flixton and then Cheadle Heath. He returned to Mossley in 1997, staying for three seasons, before returning to Curzon Ashton in 2000.
