Celtic can confirm that former full-back Stephen Brogan has returned to the club after six years away.

The 33-year-old versatile player who can also play in midfield made 52 appearances for Celtic during three spells, scoring 14 goals and providing 12 assists.

He made his debut for the club in 2011 when on-loan from Rotherham United, where his career had started. He scored three goals in 12 games during his loan spell and he was re-signed later that year after being released by The Millers.

After a near full season at Bower Fold where he scored nine goals in 28 games, he moved on to Forest Green Rovers and Southport before returning back to Celtic in 2015 for his third spell at the club.

This one was a bit shorter and Stephen departed for Gainsborough Trinity which was followed by moves to North Ferriby, Boston United, Spennymoor Town and most recently Buxton.

Welcome back to Celtic, Brogs!
