The club are holding academy trials at Bower Fold this Sunday (28th).

This is an ideal opportunity for young players to join our academy, where they can develop as footballers while continuing their educational studies.

The trials have been specifically created for school leavers, who are looking to study a BTEC sports based course at the Tameside College alongside a football development programme at the Stalybridge Celtic Academy.

Our Academy is overseen by first-team manager Simon Haworth, a UEFA B licensed coach who is supported by an experienced team of qualified coaches.

Simon is clear on what he is trying to achieve through the academy: " my message to parents is that we endeavour to educate their sons through their studies and football and help shape them into smarter, more responsible young men.

"With our experience and pedigree, I can promise a standard of football education to match any pro club."

Our academy has a direct pathway to the Celtic first team as demonstrated by students attending training and selection for first team games.

Trials start at 10:30am on Sunday.
