On a nice sunny but windy day in Liverpool the Whites continued well in the league with a good win at City of Liverpool College.

All though a very sunny day the wind did play a major part in this entertaining game. The Young Blue Bloods playing with the wind behind their backs didn't start the best as Liverpool dominated early proceedings with the better football as the Whites couldn't come to terms with the strong wind and found themselves struggling against a decent passing team in Liverpool. Early encounters at both ends made the game entertaining but stand in keeper Fraser Stelfox was the star of the show for the Bridge Boy's and pulled off a couple of good saves in the first half-hour. The Young Blue Bloods hadn't really tested their opponent's keeper as they were still coming to terms with the ball running away from them when they attacked. Dylan Marshall had a good chance when a good pass from Jordan Leach found him free on the penalty spot but Marshall opted to come back on his right foot when shooting with his left would have done the trick and a good chance went begging.

The Blue Bloods took the lead against the run of play when a free-kick from Ryan Richardson was crossed in and every player let it go past them including the keeper as the ball crept in at the back-post to give the Bridge Boy's the lead. Ten minutes later after a corner taken by Richardson, found the feet of the ever reliable Sam Swinburn to make it 2-0 to the Whites, which in truth was a little un-just as Liverpool were the better side in the first half.

Half-time 0-2 to the Whites.

The second half started well for the Whites after a stern team talk the lads got back to what the Whites do best and dug in and were sharper in the tackle than their illustrious opponents. The Blue Bloods began to dominate proceedings and found it much easier to play against the wind than with it. On 60 minutes it was 3-0 with a good solo run from Kevin Lettany who ghost into the box and scored with a well placed shot giving the Liverpool keeper no chance. Liverpool rallied back with a great never say die attitude and got a goal back from a corner on 70 minutes. It became 3-2 when slack marking in the area aloud an un-marked Liverpool player to score from close range. Game on!!

Dylan Marshall didn't think so and scored the goal of the game with an excellent volley around the penalty spot to give the Whites all three points in a really entertaining game by both sides.
