We’re thrilled to confirm the signing of experienced striker Craig Hobson!

Hobbo returns to the Club for his third spell and will look to build on his 132 appearances for the Club, where he’s scored 34 goals across his two spells.

Joining originally in 2009 from Kendal, Hobbo has featured for the likes of Stockport County, Lincoln City and Chester and Ashton United before returning to Celtic in 2019.

A spell at Clitheroe and Curzon Ashton followed after his departure in 2020 before a return to Ashton United last year.

He now embarks on a third spell with Celtic under James Kinsey who tells us: “We’ve been looking for someone who offers that bit of something different. With Hobbo becoming available, it was one that just felt right.

“He knows the club and has a fantastic record playing alongside Darius Osei. He can bring people into play and act as a real target man. He has bags of experience to bring to the changing room in these important moments.

“He was really keen to come back here and has really impressed in training this week. His physicality is going to be a key asset that we have probably lacked in games this season.”

Hobbo also said: “I’m delighted to be back!”

Welcome back to Celtic, Hobbo!
