Website roving reporter Lauren Hall sought out one of the seemingly quieter members of the squad and found that Scott Maxfield had rather a lot to say for himself...

Q: What's the best thing about being at Stalybridge?
A: "I like the set-up a lot. We play good football and we're a progressive club, I think that we have got a lot
of potential and we're going places"

Q: And the worst?
A: "Having to listen to Nick Buxton in the car. That guy should have an off button".

Q: Who is the best player you have played alongside?
A: "Definitely Steve Nicol".

Q: What is your favourite song at the moment
A: "That?s a tough one! The Arctic Monkeys I guess, you look good on the dance floor. that one"

Q: Who is your inspiration?
A: "Tough one! I don?t know really, I just enjoy playing football"

Q: Who has the worst fashion sense in the dressing room?
A. "Mark Barnard. He wear sandals!"

Q: Do you think we have a chance of reaching the play offs?
A: "Yes definitely. I came here because I believe this club can play at a higher level".

Q: Who takes the longest in the shower?
A: "Paul Sykes. Takes him half an hour to wash his nose"

Q: How far do you think we can go in the Trophy?
A: "There's no point in playing any game if you don't believe you can win. I believe we can win five more games in the Trophy. We can win it".

Q: Salad or chips?
A: "I didn't get this figure by eating chips! Salad".

Q: Quiet night in or out with the lads?
A: "Night out with the lads"

Q: How does Stalybridge differ from Barrow?
A: "We seem to have a better team spirit here, the lads are all in it together"

Q: Who do you travel to games with?
A: "Reedy, Atko and unfortunately Bucko".
