Birkenhead born, Kristian, is a product of the academy system at Chester, after he joined them from Rock Ferry, and rejoins former manager Jim Harvey. He made his first team debut for Chester in the league against Darlington, a game they lost, but went onto make ten appearances in the Conference. Kristian became an almost permanent fixture in the Celtic squad, and his free kicks can take the net off. After four seasons with Celtic making over 150 appearances and getting a dozen goals, Kristian joined AFC Telford, where he went onto make 13 appearances, scoring once, before joining Bala Town in 2015, and from there returning to Celtic for the 16/17 season.
