Dennis joins from Stockport based Woodley Sports, after making his loan spell there permanent from Rochdale AFC. He joined Rochdale as a trainee and was a regular in the reserves there, even making the bench in the Carling Cup tie with Sheffield Wednesday. He was the top scorer at Woodley, with over forty goals, as well as the highest scorer in the Rochdale Youth team. Despite never scoring for the first team in his first season at the club, Dennis is quite possibly the most prolific striker at the club, albeit for the reserves. He joined the club midway through the season, and blasted up the reserves golden boot league to find the net over thirty times.
