On Saturday, Celtic are at home again, this time to face freshly promoted Wythenshawe FC. Wythenshawe are currently fourteenth in the league on eight points, eleven places and five points behind Celtic having played a game more. Kick-off 3pm.
Wythenshawe beat neighbours Wythenshawe town to the title on the last day of last season, after a season long tussle and finishing level on points, but with a six better goal difference scoring 111 goals and conceding 45 in the process. Wythenshawe won thirty of their forty-six games, losing eleven and drawing five. This season, they have had a difficult start, so far winning two and drawing two of their eight games. They have one home win (beating Congleton 3-1) and one away win (beating Nantwich 2-1). There other three away games so far this season saw them lose to Vauxhall (2-0), Clitheroe (4-2) and, most recently, Kidsgrove (4-0).
In their four away matches, Wythenshawe have scored four and conceded eleven, giving them the worst away defence in the league so far. Conceding in every away match and failing to score in two. Their only clean sheet this season came at home to Runcorn, with a goalless draw. On average, they score a goal per game away (1.1 overall) and concede 2.8 on the road (2.1 overall). Their top scorer, so far, with three goals is Abdullahi Ahmed, though Andrew Keogh is right behind on two. There have been four other scorers with a goal each.
This will be our first meeting with Wythenshawe.

Hopefully Celtic can continue where they left off last week. Although Celtic only conceded two goals in the opening five matches, we’ve conceded eight in the last five, and Wythenshawe are no slouches in front of goal, so Celtic need to turn chances into goals at the other end.
