On Tuesday, Celtic have to replay their FA Trophy tie after drawing 0-0 away with Prescot Cables on Saturday. Prescot are currently sixth in the Evo-stik First Division North with seven wins on twenty-three points after fifteen games. The winner of this tie gets a home tie against Rushall Olympic. There will be a live match centre and Twitter feed for this game.
Prescot won their previous game 3-2 at home over Clitheroe, and got through to this round after beating Trafford 3-1 in the previous round at the beginning of October. They went out of the Integro Cup in the first round last Tuesday when Bamber Bridge beat them 4-1 in Prescot, and out of the FA Cup after a replay, they held City of Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at home, then were beaten 8-2 away. In the league, they have only lost once at home, but have lost five of their eight away games in the league.
This season, they have scored twenty-three goals (ten away) at a rate of 1.3 per game (0.9 away), whilst they have conceded eighteen goals (nine away) at a rate of 1.2 per game (1 away). They have failed to score in three away matches, most recently away at Mossley at the start of September. They have kept two clean sheets away, most recently against Trafford, also at the start of September. Their top scorer this season in the league is Jordan Wynne, though Prescot have had eleven different scorers.
In the previous match, they lined up as:
1. Marcus Burgess
2. Andy Scarisbrick
3. Reece McNally
4. James McCulloch
5. Louis Coyne
6. Baba Conte
7. Jordan Southwarth
8. Jordan Wynne
9. Josh Klein-Davies
10. Lloyd Dean
11. Josef Faux
Whilst Celtic lined up as:
1. Joe Slinn
2. Oliver Crowley
3. Alex Honeyball
4. Tom Brown
5. Luke Ashworth
6. Ross Killock
7. Theo Bailey-Jones
8. Oliver Roberts
9. Liam Dickinson
10. Matty Wolfenden
11. Lee Neville
Alex Honeyball was taken off as a precaution on Saturday, but should be fit for selection on Tuesday. It's fair to say that Celtic made hard work of the match on Saturday, and had to ride their luck, but we are still in the hat, and our recent home record is good, with four wins and a draw in our last five matches.
