Match Preview :- Farsley Celtic - Saturday April 7th, 2018 (15:00:00)

On Saturday, Celtic host Farsley Celtic (kick off 3pm). Farsley are currently fifth in the league on sixty-four points, thirteen places and nineteen points above Celtic, having playing three more games. There will be a match centre and Twitter feed for the game.

Farsley have been in and around the play-offs, topping the league in September having lost two and drawn two of their opening ten games. Their last ten games have seen them win five, lose three and draw two, with all three losses coming at home. Away from home, they have not lost since the start of December when Hednesford won 2-1, winning five and drawing four over that period. They have played eighteen games away this season, and lost just four times making them the fourth best away team over ten games.

Farsley have had seventeen different scorers netting sixty-nine goals this season (thirty away) at a rate of 1.8 goals per game (1.6 away). With more than twice his closest rival, leading their goal scoring chart is James Walshaw on twenty goals. They have only failed to score in two away matches this season (six in total). They have conceded sixty goals this season (thirty away) at a rate of 1.5 goals per game (1.6 away). Celtic's match at Farsley is the league's record number of goals in a match, at nine; although Celtic were at the wrong end of the 5-4 score-line in that game. The league's worst away score-line is also held by Farsley, when Altrincham beat them 6-0 back in September.

Farsley have visited Bower Fold five times in the last thirty years, with the most recent visit in the FA Cup earlier in the season, a game Celtic won 2-1 with a last minute winner from Theo Bailey-Jones adding to Liam Dickinson's opener. In the league, Farsley visited in 2009, with Celtic winning 1-0 thanks to a John Hardiker goal. Our best result was in the FA Cup in the same season, when we won 4-0. Farsley's only win at Bower Fold was in 2006, when they won 2006, when they won 2-0.

Farsley played on Thursday night when Celtic's match at Mickleover was postponed. In that match they beat Whitby 4-0 at home and lined up as:
1. Kyle Trenerry
2. Lewis Turner
3. Isaac Baldwin
4. Christopher Atkinson
5. Daniel Ellis
6. Adam Clayton
7. Ben Atkinson
8. Nathan Turner
9. Paul Walker
10. Nathan Cartman
11. Luke Parkin

Celtic's last match was the 2-2 home draw, also with Ashton. In that match, we lined up as:
1. George Sykes-Kenworthy
2. Danny Morton
3. Alex Honeyball
4. Jack Taylor
5. Luke Ashworth
6. Ross Killock
7. Tom Brown
8. Oli Roberts
9. Jake Charles
10. Matty Wolfenden
11. Connor Hughes

Celtic will probably be without Greg Wilkinson (thigh), Liam Dickinson (knee) and Harrison Holgate (calf). Ross Killock picked up a knock against Ashton and will be assessed.

Celtic are still top of the form table, despite a loss and a draw in our last two games. A win won't see us move, whilst a loss could see us two or three places, depending the result of the Matlock v Coalville game, Whitby's visit to Ashton and Marine's game at home to Witton.
