Stalybridge Celtic is saddened to learn of the passing of our former player and manager Mark Hine.

Mark played for the Club and was an ever present fixture during our last two seasons in the original 1990's Football Conference spell, being well regarded as a tough tackling midfielder. Following the departure of Brian Kettle then Mark, along with Colin Richardson, was briefly appointed as manager during the 1997/1998 campaign.

In total, Mark made 80 appearances during his time at the Club and scored one goal, a spectacular one at that coming direct from a corner in an away match at Hayes.

Stalybridge Celtic send its condolences to Mark's family and friends. Rest In Peace Mark.
