Stalybridge Celtic is excited to confirm the arrival of striker Ruben Jerome.

The 30-year-old prolific goalscorer signs for Celtic having gained three promotions in a row with Workington, Emley and Bury and arrives with both goals and experience.

Ruben hit 39 goals during the 2023-24 season as Emley were crowned Northern Counties East Premier Division winners. During three seasons at Workington which culminated in promotion from the NPL West, he scored 38 goals in 66 games and most recently, scored 14 goals in 26 starts for Bury as they lifted the North West Counties title.

Having made the move to Celtic, Ruben said: “I’m delighted to sign for the Club. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Club and the fan base it has. I’m excited to get going and hopefully we can give the club and fans a season to remember."

Manager Jon Macken added: “We’re over the moon that Ruben has decided to play his football here at Stalybridge next season. He’s a real all-round striker and someone I’ve seen a lot over the years. He’s got experience and has achieved promotion from this league before. His goal record speaks for itself and I am absolutely thrilled to have secured his signing. I think the fans will really love him.”

Earning three promotions in three seasons at Workington, Emley and Bury, Ruben also lists the likes of Ramsbottom, Warrington Town and Southport as former clubs.
