Following the Frank Hannah Manchester FA Premier Cup quarter final between Stalybridge Celtic and Curzon Ashton, which took place on the 17th December 2024, a protest was received alleging a breach of competition rules had taken place.

Namely, that the winning side, Curzon Ashton, had used 5 substitutes during the game which is in breach of competition rule 18.02 as detailed below

18.02 – substitutions are allowed from any 3 players from a maximum of 5 names on the match form.

On receipt of the protest, along with evidence collected from all parties, including match officials, the Competitions Working Group (CWG) met to consider the appropriate action.

Their ruling, as per competition rule 23.16, is that the fixture is to be replayed in full.

The date for this fixture has been set as Tuesday 14th January 2025.
