We’re pleased to confirm the signing of Goalkeeper James McClenaghan from Lancaster City.

With Charlie Monks picking up an injury, Jon Macken has moved to bring in the 27-year-old, who has made 18 appearances for Lancaster City this season in the NPL Premier Division. James arrives ahead of tonight’s Cheshire Senior Cup fixture at Macclesfield FC.

Jon Macken says: “With Charlie currently injured, we had to move quickly and when James became available, we jumped at the chance to bring him in. He’s very experienced, has played a number of games already this season for Lancaster and will be a good addition to the squad.”

James has previously featured for the likes of Kendal Town, Vauxhall Motors, Widnes, Newcastle Town, Ashton Town and most recently Lancaster, as well as being a full-time training goalkeeper at both Altrincham and Rochdale.

Welcome to Celtic, James!
