The Club’s Commercial Director, Steve Dewsnip was recently prohibited from acting in the Guernsey financial services industry following an investigation into a group of investment companies that failed in 2016.

Since his appointment, the Club and Steve have maintained full transparency on this complicated and ongoing issue to the extent the law permits, including Steve disclosing that he lost a significant sum from investing personally himself.  These matters have no bearing on his ability to continue to work effectively for the Club and the Board continues to have full confidence in him.

Paul Bowden, Finance & Operations Director confirmed that: “In the six months that Steve has been at the Club he has played a vital role in reshaping our Commercial offering, as well as bringing experience and knowledge that the Club was lacking.  With Steve’s help we are making huge steps to reinvigorate the Club on and off the pitch and I maintain full confidence in his ability to continue to do this.”

The Club will not be making any further comment on the matter.
