We’ve confirmed the signing of exciting winger Ash Leather who joins James Kinsey’s squad!

Familiar to James Kinsey, having worked together at Wythenshawe Town, Ash has started the 2024/25 season in red hot form, scoring four goals in six games for Alsager Town and being named player of the match in four games so far this season.

A pacy athletic winger, Ash spent last season at Winsford United and starred in their game at Bower Fold in the Cheshire Senior Cup.

Having signed for Celtic, Ash tells us: “Signing for a Club like Stalybridge is massive! I know they have some of the best supporters in non-league, which will be a huge help for us players. Stalybridge has always been a Club that I’ve looked towards and thought about playing for down the line, so I’m happy it’s happened and now I’m here!

“Kinsey and Dan are the first two manager’s that I played men’s football under and they taught me a lot and gave me lots of confidence. Finally, now I get to be back around them and try to win as much as we can this season! Let’s go!”

The Gaffer added: “Ash is a winger who I have worked with before and I am close with him outside of football. He has ridiculous pace and the ability to beat a man in wide areas.

“He offers us a different option to what we have at the minute and we believe he will become a key player here.”
