Stalybridge Celtic is excited to confirm the signing of midfielder Harry Benns from Hyde United.

The 22-year-old joins Celtic after playing 30 games last season for Hyde, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

In total, Harry made 52 appearances for Hyde since joining them from Port Vale.

It was at Vale where he began his career, coming through the youth system at Vale Park, signing a professional contract in 2018.

He was named Youth Player of the Year in the 2017/18 season and made his debut for the club in 2018 against Cambridge United.

Harry had a loan spell with Stafford Rangers where he played 14 times and also a short stint on loan with Kidsgrove Athletic whilst with Port Vale.

On joining Celtic, Harry added: “I’m really looking forward to a new challenge with Stalybridge this season.

“I can’t wait to meet the lads and get going.”
