Stalybridge Celtic are disgusted to have been alerted to an allegation of racist abuse by an unknown individual during tonight’s game with Grantham Town.

Celtic is a diverse and wholly inclusive football club with a mix of players, staff and fans from all ages, races and genders.

We are extremely saddened by this and operate a zero tolerance policy regarding racist abuse. Anybody found guilty of such offence will be reported to the police., the club will support and assist with any action taken by the police.

Celtic would like to apologise to the players, staff and supporters of Grantham Town Football Club.

Any assistance from attendees at tonight’s game from either club would be greatly appreciated in our investigation.

If you wish to show any form of racist abuse to anybody, you are not welcome at Bower Fold.
