Celtic are pleased to announce a partnership with Heaven ’N’ Health who will become Celtic’s away match meal preparation sponsors.

The company will provide Celtic’s first team with healthy and nutritious meals for away games during the 2021/22 season.

Joshua Adamson from Heaven ’N’ Health said:

“After speaking to Andrew Betts about the plans for the season ahead, Andrew informed me that they have recruited well, aiming for a high table finish this year with close results in their opening games of the season against two of the toughest teams in the league.

“Keen to discuss the players diets, especially on match day in order to see how they prepare in the lead up to the big day, Andrew informed me that it is an area the club is wanting to focus on & develop this year to help prevent potential injuries in addition to keeping the players fitness and recovery at the forefront of their plans.

“We looked at their current situation in terms of nutrition, typically the players lead busy lives and sometimes stopping at service stations for pre game meals isn’t ideal before a physical game where muscles need to be saturated in glycogen (energy) to perform to their maximum potential & prevent any early onset fatigue.

“Coming from a sports background myself, alongside my two brothers with whom I run the business with, we have come to understand the importance of pre & post game nutrition and how ‘carb loading’ plays a vital role towards match day performance.

“We have provided the lads with some whole fruits like oranges which are good for immunity & vitamin C, along with bananas which are perfect for pre-game carbohydrates & the healthy meals themselves which contain a good source of complex carbohydrates.

“Finally, we have provided YAZOO milkshakes for after the game, perfect for recovery with 45g of carbs and 15g of protein, the aim is to keep it simple and hopefully see better results physically this season.

“Best of luck today lads and throughout the season!”
