The 19-year-old likes to get forward from defence and has contributed to a number of goals and assists for Rochdale’s Academy.
Louie was part of the Rochdale team that won the 2020/21 EFL Youth Alliance Cup.
Manager Simon Haworth was pleased to secure Louie's signature, he said: "People I spoke to said that he should have had a pro deal at Rochdale, he hasn't and I've told him to come here and prove them wrong and get his career back on.
"It's good that he thinks men's football will do him good, he could probably spend the summer trying to sign for an Under 23's club but for me, lads like Louie should come and play some men's football.
"He can see what it's all about, improve, become stronger and climb the ladder again and that's what Louie is hoping to do."
