Our Home fixture on 5th October 2019 versus FC United of Manchester, was our first of five designated charity days, where we look to support local charities to help them raise awareness of the great work they do and also, to raise valuable funds for them.
Reuben's Retreat were our Foundation guests for the afternoon at Bower Fold, where we invited Elite Soccer and Droylsden Juniors on to the pitch for a small sided tournament and coaching clinic. Our walking football team, Vintage Celtic took on a team representing FC United in a friendly fixture, all prior to Kick Off.
The Club kindly donated a signed 2019/20 Home Shirt to Reuben's Retreat to raffle on the day along with a 'Bucket Collection' around the ground, throughout the afternoon.
A fantastic �478.96 was raised on the day, so a massive thank you to everyone who contributed...
Community Fundraiser, Lindsay Smith from Reuben's Retreat - 'Just to let you know we collected an amazing �478.96 from the game on Saturday v FC United of Manchester.
Amazing and just so you know, this money could pay for two separate families to have a two night break for a child unlikely to reach adulthood or for a family bereaved of a child, so that is truly magical.

Our next designated charity fixture is on Saturday 23rd November 2019 versus Buxton FC, where Willow Wood Hospice will be our guests.
