Join the M60 clockwise towards Stockport and come off at Junction 4 (M56).
Stay on the M56 for 7 1/2 miles to junction 7 (Altrincham, A556, M6).
At the roundabout at the end of the slip road, turn left using the slip road to join the A556 towards M6.
Stay on the A556 for 4 miles to a roundabout with the M6.
Join the M6 Southbound towards Birmingham.
Stay on the M6 for 105 miles to Junction 19 (M1), and join the M1 towards London.
Stay on the M1 for 25 1/2 miles to Junction 6a (Harlow, M25).
Bear to the left and join the M25 in a clockwise direction.
Stay on the M25 for 39 miles to junction 30 (Thurrock, A13).
At the roundabout at the end of the slip road, turn left (exit 1 of 4) onto the A13.
After 13 1/2 miles there is a complicated set of roundabouts within roundabouts.
Turn right (exit 4 of 5) onto the A130 (Canvey Way) - signposted Canvey Island.
After 2 1/2 miles there is a roundabout.
Turn right (exit 3 of 4) to stay on the A130 (now called Canvey Road).
After half a mile there is a roundabout - go straight across (exit 1 of 3) to stay on the A130.
After a mile, turn left onto Furthwick Road (B1014).
After 500 yards, take the SECOND right onto Eldertree Road.
This road goes through the shopping district and seems to take forever, eventually, you will reach the one way section by going around a hairpin bend and then bending left onto High Street.
After a mile, going straight across several mini roundabouts there will be a transport museum on the right.
Almost immediately after this, there is a double mini-roundabout.
Turn right onto Park Lane.
Canvey Island is situated at the end of the road, with a large, free car park.
