Match Preview :- Bury - Tuesday August 19th, 2025 (19:45:00)

Having drawn on Saturday, Celtic must now travel to Bury on Tuesday for the FA Cup Replay. Kick off 7:45pm

So far this season, Bury have played two league matches, one their home match 1-0 over Newcastle Town and drawn 1-1 away from home – giving them an identical start to Celtic. Back-to-back promotions since their re-inception have seen Bury steadily climb the leagues, and they are among the bookie’s favourites for promotion this season, so Celtic couldn’t ask for a harder first round in the cup.

This is not Bury’s first match in the FA Cup, having to take part in the extra preliminary round, where they beat South Liverpool at home 6-0. Bury have scored in every match so far. In competitive matches, they have conceded only two. Including friendlies, they have still scored in every match but have conceded twelve.

In the previous round of the FA Cup, Bury’s scorers saw two for Tyler James, two for DJ Pedro, and one each for Connor Pye and Kai Evans. Aidan Walker scored in the home win over Newcastle, while Louis Isherwood got their most recent goal against Avro.

In the match against us on Saturday, Bury lined up as:
1. Mitch Allen
2. Aiden Walker
3. Connor Pye
4. Scott Duxbury
5. Louis Isherwood
6. Callum Spooner
7. Kai Evans

5. Jack Byrne
6. Jack Tinning

If the home match was hard, being away will be harder. But this is the FA Cup, and anything can happen.
