On Saturday, Celtic are in FA Trophy action when Trafford come to Bower Fold. Trafford are currently bottom of the League with zero points, seven points and thirteen places behind Celtic. Kick off 3pm.
Trafford’s start to the season has seen them score two and concede eight as they have run to four consecutive losses. They’ve fared better in the FA Cup, with three wins, beating Stockton 1-0 in Trafford last weekend, and Campion 3-0 also in Trafford, and a 2-1 win over Barnoldswick before the season kicked off. In the league, all four games have finished 2-1 to the opposition, two at home, two away. Their last away game was a 2-1 defeat at Runcorn.
Last season’s top scorer, Rio Clegg, has moved to Radcliffe. Their two goals against Stockton were scored by Mackenna Bradshaw and Kingston Fligg, though Matt Davis is edging their scoring chart with two league goals and one in the FA Cup.
Our last meeting with Trafford was at their place, last season, when we won 2-1, with Joe Duckworth and Jack Tinning on the scoreboard, whilst their last visit to Bower Fold was a 2-1 win for them, Liam Tongue’s late penalty a consolation. They have only made one other visit to Bower Fold, in the season before, when Celtic won 1-0, Matty Bryan with the goal at the start of the second half.
In Trafford’s last match, the 2-1 home win over Stockton in the FA Cup, Trafford lined up as:
1. Sam Booth
2. Sean Higgins
3. Ben Woods
4. Jordan Fagbola
5. Harry Norris
6. Cian Donohue
7. Mackenna Bradshaw
8. Hilal Khan
9. Matt Davis
10. Jerome Wright
11. Campbell Reid
In Celtic’s last match, the 3-2 away win at Workington, Celtic lined up as:

2. Mike Koral
3. Kyle Brownhill
4. Jordan Butterworth
5. Jack Byrne
6. Jack Tinning
7. Brandon Newell

It’s been a tough few games for Celtic, with masses of effort put in across the team, Trafford have been poor in the league, but excellent in the FA Cup, which Trafford turns up could make this another tough game.
