Match Preview :- Liversedge - Monday August 29th, 2022 (15:00:00)

On Bank Holiday Monday, Celtic travel to Liversedge for the first time. Liversedge have won one and drawn one of their five matches since promotion into the Northern Premier after finishing second and winning the play-offs to join Marine. Kick off is 3pm.

Liversedge’s win this season came at Whitby, who they beat 3-2. They followed it with a draw at Bamber Bridge, but both their home games this season have seen them lose, the opening match at home to Ashton saw a 1-0 win for our Tameside neighbours, whilst Morpeth also won with a 4-1 win. Most recently, they lost on the road when Radcliffe put two past them without reply.

The signing of James Walshaw gives their top scorer so far this season, with James Walshaw already on three, scoring in two of their last three. On average, they are scoring 0.5 goals per game at home (1.1 overall) failing to score in one of them and netting 6 in total (1 at home). They have yet to keep a clean sheet this season, conceding 11 goals (5 at home) at a rate of 2.2 goals per game (2.5 at home).

In their last match, the 2-0 away loss to Radcliffe, Liversege lined up as:
1. Jordan Porter
2. Josh Barrett
3. Connor Smythe
4. Ross Daly
5. James Hurtley
6. Kurt Harris
7. Ben Atkinson
8. Jack Stockdill
