Match Preview :- Yorkshire Amateur - Saturday October 30th, 2021 (15:00:00)

It is a break from league action this weekend as we host Yorkshire Amateur in the FA Trophy. Yorkshire Amateur are currently 12th in the Northern Premier League First Division East on 14 points. Kick off is at 3pm, with tickets available online or on the gate.

Yorkshire Amateur have lost six of their seven away league games this season, with their only away win coming against Worksop Town, which they won 3-0 on the opening day of the season. Their most recent away game saw them lose 3-0 to Dunston, whilst league leaders, Liversedge, put five past them without reply at the start of October. Their best result has come at home when they beat Lincoln United 7-0 with six different scorers. Their worst result came in the Emirates FA Cup when Hebburn Town beat them at home 7-0. In the FA Trophy, they have already been drawn away twice, beating Pontefract Collieries in the first qualifying round on penalties (4-2) after the game finished 1-1 and they beat Kendal Town 3-0, in the second qualifying round of the FA Trophy to set up Saturday’s tie at Bower Fold.

Adam Priestley has already scored twice in the Trophy giving him three goals in total this season, but Roy Fogerty is currently the top scorer for Yorkshire Amateurs with four. On the road, Yorkshire Amateur have kept only one league clean sheet, on the opening day of the season against Worksop. They have failed to score in four of their away league matches, scoring five goals and conceding nineteen in the process, including conceding five away at Liversedge.

In Yorkshire Amateur’s last match in the West Riding Cup, a 3-1 defeat at home to Tadcaster Albion, Yorkshire Amateur lined up as:
1. Kyle Trenerry
2. Cole Wildin
3. Brandon Smalley
4. Luke Sharry
5. Ryan Serrant
6. James Beaston
7. Adam Priestley
8. Oliver Metcalfe
9. Ross Duggan
10. Roy Fogarty
11. Casey Stewart

Celtic’s last match was the 3-0 away win over Congleton in the Cheshire Senior Cup, in which we lined up as:
1. Will Huffer
2. Josh Dawodu
3. Douglas Nyaupembe
4. Ethan Padden
5. Connor O’Grady
6. Shane Killock
7. Jake Burton
8. Charley Doyle
9. Marcus Dackers
10. Stephen Brogan
11. Justin Johnson

Yorkshire Amateur’s Trophy record so far this season has been impressive, navigating both their previous rounds, so Celtic need to take nothing for granted. Celtic managed to rest a few players against Congleton in the Cheshire Senior Cup. Jay Fitzpatrick has been out injured since the game vs Bamber Bridge. Scott Bakkor is nearing a return from injury whilst Callum Harris and Grant Shenton continue to be assessed.
