Player Profile - Paul Weller (10th Dec 2004 - 21st Dec 2004)
Paul started out as a winger in Burnley's youth and reserve side, after moving up north from Brighton's Youth Team. However, he has become more central as he matured. Described as a highly skilful player, he can beat anybody on his day. After progressing into the first team ranks he spent many years playing and scoring (10 seasons, 6 goals, 252 appearances), though he never became a fans favourite he was one of their most consistent performers and had a testimonial in 2003. In 2004 he left Turf Moor and joined Rochdale on a non-contract basis, but spent a mere five months at Spotland before he left to join Port Vale who had expressed a great deal of interest in him. Port Vale sent him to Leek to get some game under his belt, and he joins Celtic from Port Vale, however, he only stayed for two games before disappearing.
