Boris was born in France, and started his career with FCM Villepinte, before moving on to AS Red Star 93, in the French second division. Wanting to advance his footballing career, he moved to England, and joined Croydon. It wasn't long before Harrow spotted his potential and snapped him up in October 2001, but he could not settle in the south, and joined Holywell Town in the Cymru Alliance Welsh League. After Sammy Ayorinde joined Celtic, the Nigerian alerted Paul Futcher to Boris' potential, and after a friendly game against Hyde where the French player shone, Futcher invited him north, and Boris continued his climb up the English football pyramid.
