Player Profile - Andy Evans (21st Aug 2001 - 7th Sep 2001)
Born in Aberystwyth, Andy (real name David) naturally started his football career at Cardiff city before moving back to his home town to play for Aberystwyth Town in 1997 when Cardiff City released him.
Having made a huge impact at the Welsh club, he was snapped up by Barnsley in 1999 for a paltry 15k, forcing him to quit his part time job as a postman.
He made only two first team appearances before being sent on loan to Mansfield Town in March-April of 2000, and then August-September at Chester City, where he made a huge impact with the club as they signed him on, but rarely played him.
