We’ve unfortunately had to make the decision to cancel our upcoming home friendly vs FC United of Manchester which was due to take place at Bower Fold on Tuesday 16th July. We have two options that we are currently requesting help with:

• Stockport Town have kindly agreed to let us use Stockport Sports Village on Monday 15th July however we need to find an opponent to play.
• We are available to travel to face an opponent away from home on either Monday 15th or Tuesday 16th of next week

The Club committed to major works to fix and restore the surface at Bower Fold over the summer, the biggest investment into our pitch for six years.

Whilst the majority of the pitch has developed well and is in great condition, there are some areas that require a little more time to grow and without wanting to risk damage to the pitch before the competitive season has started, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to cancel next Tuesday’s friendly.

We’d like to apologise for the inconvenience caused to FC United of Manchester and to both sets of supporters looking forward to the game.

We have arranged with Stockport Town for the use of their ground at Stockport Sports Village on Monday 15th July and are now looking for a team with availability to play us on this date at Stockport Sports Village.

Alternatively, we are available to travel for an away game if an opponent can host us on either Monday or Tuesday next week.

We’d like to thank Stockport Town for accommodating us and letting us use their facilities.

Please note the above decision has no bearing on our home friendly with Hyde United which will continue to take place on Saturday July 27th.
