Author: Taran Dhamrait - Thu 30 Dec 21Stalybridge Celtic’s fixture with Ashton United scheduled for Monday 3rd January 2022 has been postponed after a number of positive Covid tests at the club.
Celtic do not have a sufficient number of players available to fulfil the fixture.
Following the postponement, the Northern Premier League issued the following statement…
“Evidence provided by Stalybridge Celtic confirms a number of positive Covid tests over the past 48 hours and there is concern with others due to close proximity contact following the fixture of the 27th.â€
We are aware this news will provide disappointment to supporters however the club is committed to ensuring the safety of its players and staff.
The club will notify fans of the rescheduled date once it has been confirmed.
