Stalybridge Celtic can confirm that long-serving Kitman Phil Hall has taken up a new position as Secretary at Cheadle Health Nomads.

Chairman Rob Gorski explained more, he said: “Although I am delighted for Phil, I am sorry to announce that he will be leaving us and taking up the post of Secretary for Cheadle Heath Nomads F.C.

“I am sincerely thrilled for him, but I am also gutted personally because Phil knows that I have always considered him to be part of my own inner sanctum. He has shown incredible loyalty to Celtic over the decades.

“He has been Kit Man of late, but over the years he's also raked up snow, been there all summer long to help with Oldham rugby matches, he's been involved in fund raising, chosen kits, sold kits, given our club thousands and thousands of unpaid man hours and most importantly of all.....he is a really thoroughly nice man.

“I am sure that we all wish him every success in his new role and I hope that some day he will return to the Fold.

“Best of luck buddy.”

All the best in your new role, Phil!
