Celtic are delighted to announce the signing of Albanian midfielder Krisel Prifti.

Krisel joins the club following a spell at Trafford and has previously played professionally for KF Apolonia, KF Luzi United and KF Himara in Albania.

On making the move to Celtic, Krisel said: "I am so happy to sign with this fantastic club, I felt very comfortable at my first training session. I would like to say thank you to the manager and to all of he staff for this great opportunity, I can't wait until the season starts."

Manager Simon Haworth discussed Krisel's arrival, he said: "Krisel is a really exciting player. He's come on board from Albania, he's really excelled fitness wise, is two-footed and can play in several positions.

"We're really excited to see how he settles to English football. We see similarities with Krisel as we did with Jon Ustabasi, he's technically good, fit and will aid us with his versatility. If he can get anywhere near what Jon has done we'll be really chuffed."
